Juventus Women beat Roma 2-1 thanks to a backheel by Cristiana Girelli in the 85th minute, winning their fifth Italian Super Cup.

"I'm delighted with this victory because it's a trophy that's been a two-year journey, starting in July 2024, and we've come this far. We won both the league and the Italian Cup before, and now we're also bringing home the Italian Super Cup. Roma played a great match, but we're happy we managed to bring it home. I chose to start Girelli on the bench; you try, and in this case, it worked. Cristiana definitely has the ability to come on and make an impact right away, one of the many characteristics that make her a unique player who doesn't need words. I'm honoured to be able to coach a champion like her. Comolli's presence here in Pescara is an extraordinary boost: he spoke to the team in the hotel before coming here to the stadium, it's a great privilege for us, and we're happy to have won for that reason too."

"Thanks for the compliments on the goal. These are goals that come instinctively. What continues to motivate me is definitely my love for football, which is the reason I continue to improve: I always want to push myself further, to give my all when called upon. And then, since it's the thing I care about most in the world, I try to treat every match and every segment of the game I'm on the pitch with care. For me, scoring is always something wonderful: doing so in the final at a decisive moment is special, but my joy goes out to all the girls. We deserved this Super Cup. I'm happy. Before the match we were wearing the training jersey dedicated to Alex Del Piero, and it brought us luck. Collecting trophies is beautiful, doing it in the Juventus jersey is even more so."
