29 November 2024
This November-December international window has started well for our Bianconere, with Hanna Bennison playing a starring role already as the action got underway.
Sweden facing Serbia in the first leg of their Women’s Euro 2025 qualification playoff, Bennison opened the scoring with a fine strike from the edge of the area, helping her side to a 2-0 win.
Sweden - who also have another Bianconera in Emma Kullberg in the squad, though she remained on the bench on Thursday - will be looking to get through their playoff with Serbia to join the already-qualified teams, those being Switzerland (hosts), Spain, Germany, Iceland, Denmark, France, England, Italy and the Netherlands.
The second leg of Sweden-Serbia will be played next Tuesday, 3 December.
