A COMMANDING VICTORY

The last time Juventus and Napoli met was in January 2026, and it proved to be a special night for the Bianconeri at the Allianz Stadium.

The first goal in what proved to be a 3-0 victory for Luciano Spalletti's side almost came when Khephren Thuram had a shot from distance which struck the crossbar. It didn't take long for the goal to really come, though, as Jonathan David was alive in the box to fire into the bottom corner and make it 1-0.

The Bianconeri could have had a much bigger lead at half-time, as Francisco Conceicao had a shot cleared off the line by Alessandro Buongiorno, and Manuel Locatelli had a shot saved by Alex Meret.

With only 13 minutes of the second half to go, Juan Jesus played a loose pass into midfield and Fabio Miretti quickly released Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish forward scampered into the box and produced a fine finish to make it 2-0 and put the Bianconeri in charge.

Juve weren't done there, though. They continued to drive forward, and it was Filip Kostic who added the third in the closing stages. He unleashed a superb shot from the edge of the box which nestled in the bottom corner.

Romelu Lukaku did have a late chance to get a goal back for Napoli, but he couldn't connect properly with Rasmus Hojlund's cross, and the game ended 3-0 to Juventus.
