The Juventus Women’s First Team beat Napoli 4-0 in the final Group A match of the Serie A Women’s Cup, meaning they must wait to see if they can reach the last four as the best-ranked second-place team.

Coach Massimiliano Canzi, and scorer of two goals, Tatiana Pinto, shared their thoughts after the match.

"For us, it was an easy game to approach. We had to win by scoring lots of goals and not conceding any,” Canzi said.

“We achieved our goal, we scored four against a good team, now we can only wait and see what the others do. The girls were aggressive in defence, even pressing in midfield - a sign that we are already in decent physical condition.

“We conceded little or nothing, only on a few set pieces. Tatiana Pinto is a player who has settled in immediately. She has a wealth of international experience, having played in five different countries. Her two goals will certainly give her a lot of confidence."

"I'm very happy to have helped the team with my goals: perhaps some of you don't know this, but I'm a player who cares deeply about the team and who is willing to do anything to achieve success,” Pinto said.

“Today, I feel I did a good job, but we all did well against Napoli. It wasn't easy, but we took control of the match early on and made it look easy. Juventus has welcomed me like family, it all happened very quickly, but I've found lots of kind people here who have welcomed me and are helping me.

“I'd like to thank everyone. I've been here for two weeks and I feel welcome, as well as receiving support in settling in. Estela [Carbonell] and I already played together at Levante and got on well, we're friends and that's where our understanding comes from. Our goal is to be happy and perform at our best on the pitch. This week, the manager's message to us was: ‘Give your all to get the best result possible’. I'm happy that things have gone well.”
