“We started the competition well, with a win. The goal we conceded doesn’t worry me in the least. Our solid play today was important, it gave us the opportunity to control the game. We need to improve with the ball at our feet to make it more difficult for our opponent. We were able to finish as best we could all of the chances we created. Collectively, we can do better. In that sense, we have to use all of our qualities and skills to grow as a team. Manuel Locatelli played a good game, I'm happy with his work. He did well, just like his teammates. Weston McKennie is a guy who has a lot to contribute in all parts of the game. He has technical abilities, he has physique and occupies space well. Each player needs to raise the level of the next. They are quality players who can play in different positions. That is where our team can grow.”

"I am happy with my debut, about the goal, and with how well the team played. We could have done more in the second half, but it is a positive result. We need to push on just like we did today and continue like this. I am also happy for Kenan, who trains hard, and showed it today. He played a great match."

“I am happy with the result. We conceded a goal at the end and that is a shame, and we also could have done more when we had possession of the ball in their half of the pitch. We closed them down well. We blocked them between the lines and then when we changed the play, we have great players on the attack who can jump their markers with ease. It is clear that starting the Champions League like this is positive."

"I was hoping to play a great match today. In the play leading up to the goal, I have to thank Andrea Cambiaso and his run. There was space in the middle and I saw the chance to shoot and score the goal. My role on the field? I like to play either on the left on the outside or in the middle. Whatever the coach prefers.”
