Medical Update | Kenan Yildiz and Jeff Ekhator

On Monday, August 31, Kenan Yildiz underwent surgery to fix a fracture at the base of the fifth metatarsal bone in his left foot. The operation, carried out at the Augsburg Hessingpark Klinik by Dr Martin Jordan in the presence of the club doctor, Dr Marco Freschi, was a complete success, and the player will begin his rehabilitation programme as early as tomorrow.

Furthermore, following the muscle problem in his right thigh sustained during yesterday’s training session, Jeff Ekhator underwent radiological examinations this morning at J|Medical, which revealed a moderate-grade injury to the semitendinosus muscle. In two weeks’ time, he will undergo further tests to determine the exact recovery timeframe.
