It was meant to be a fun-filled evening, which instead turned into a tragic night.
Eight years have passed since June 3, 2017, the day thousands of Juventus fans gathered in Piazza San Carlo to watch the Champions League final between Juventus and Real Madrid. A day when an exciting evening of football turned into something bigger, something tragic.
Erika Pioletti and Marisa Amato were there when the crowd began to stir and, following the panic that ensued, they heartbreakingly lost their lives.
To honour their memory - as has occurred every year since 2018 - Juventus this morning, Tuesday June 3, 2025, participated in the commemoration ceremony for the two victims of that night, laying a bouquet of flowers. The official banner of the Club was also present.
Present at the ceremony were the Mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo, the Prefect, Domenico Cafagna, the Quaestor, Paolo Sirna, the Attorney General of the Court of Appeals, Lucia Musti, the Councillor for Budget, Finance and Economic and Financial Planning, and Business Development of the Piedmont Region, Andrea Tronzano, the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri, Roberto De Cinti, the Provincial Fire Department Command, and the former Mayor, Chiara Appendino.
