At 20:45 CET tomorrow, Saturday 14 February, Juventus will play away against Inter on matchday twenty-five of the 2025/2026 Serie A season.
Manuel Locatelli spoke on the Derby d'Italia at a press conference.
A WEEK OF WORK BEFORE THE MATCH AGAINST INTER
"It's definitely been a week that's helped us recover physically and mentally. We've prepared as best we can for tomorrow's big match. We're fired up and can't wait to play. We all know how important the Derby d'Italia is. We know Inter's strength—they're a great, mature team with a great coach. They're a team made up of players who have been playing together for a long time. We lacked a bit of maturity in some matches, and the points gap is a result of that. However, we're aware of our value, our qualities. It'll take a lot of personality to face them. Dimarco? Fede is a guy I love, as are the other Inter players I've played with in the national team. I'm happy for him and for what he's doing, because last year he was criticized a lot, and this year he's responded to that criticism with great performances on the pitch. Tomorrow I hope he'll be less fit than usual (laughs)."
COACH SPALLETTI
"The coach has given me a lot of confidence, and that certainly counts. As a team, I think we're on the right track and we need to continue working with dedication, as we've done so far. We're happy to have him and to hear what he's saying."
LOCATELLI: FOCUS ON YOURSELF AND YOUR PARTNERS
"I've always tried to be balanced about criticism. I know people expect a lot from me. I feel good and, as I said, I have to thank Coach Spalletti for the faith he's placed in me. I've always tried to give my best; I've never lacked heart. I don't know if this is my best season; we'll see, there are still too many months to go. Being Juventus captain is one of the biggest dreams of my life and also a responsibility. A captain must lead by example in everything; it's something I try to do every day with all the love I have for this shirt.
"Goals? I should try to score a few more; it's another step forward. However, I always say that in the end, it's not who scores that matters, but winning.
"Boga? We had three important years together at Sassuolo. We were very young, now we've grown, we've matured, and I think his qualities can give us a big helping hand. I'm very happy he's here.
"Andrea (Cambiaso) is a guy I'm very attached to. He just needs to stay calm and keep working hard. He always gives his all, he never backs down. I'm sure he deserves to be at Juventus; he's strong, he has character, and he'll show it on the pitch again.
