The Juventus Men’s First Team return from Reggio Emilia and their first away trip of 2026 with all three points, thanks to a 3-0 win at Sassuolo on Serie A Matchday 19.
Fabio Miretti and Jonathan David scored in quick succession in the second half after a first-half own goal had put the Bianconeri in front.
THE MATCH REPORT
It was the hosts who went in search of the opening goal first, and twice. Inside four minutes, Sassuolo had two efforts on Michele Di Gregorio’s goal, but neither were on target. A third came in the 12th minute, after some high pressing, but it was again off target.
Khephren Thuram had the Bianconeri’s first real sight at goal, striking with his left from the edge of the area, but Arijanet Muric was equal to it in the hosts’ goal.
The opening goal arrived a few moments later and it came with a slice of good fortune. Pierre Kalulu got forward on the right and looked to put a cross into the box, but Tarik Muharemovic’s attempts to head the ball behind only looped it over Muric and into the net.
Kenan Yildiz then found himself engaged in something of a personal battle with Muric. The Sassuolo goalkeeper denied the No.10 three times before half time, with two increasingly ferocious strikes following an attempted chip.
The second half started in much the same fashion, with Muric doing his best to frustrate the Bianconeri. Thuram found some space on the left and, arriving towards the byline, shot at goal but the Sassuolo ‘keeper kept it out.
But the knocking eventually saw the door open. Fabio Miretti made it two shortly after as he drove through on the right and fired home, before Jonathan David made it three all by himself immediately after the restart. The Canadian went through and rounded Muric, then settling himself before tapping in as Sassuolo defenders scrambled back to the goalline.
