The Juventus Men’s First Team were pegged back after taking the lead at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday night, drawing 1-1 with Sassuolo on Serie A Matchday 30.

THE MATCH REPORT

The Bianconeri started brightly, and Manuel Locatelli had the game’s first chance inside five minutes. His close-range header, though, was saved by Arijanet Muric in the Sassuolo goal.

Before the 15-minute mark, Kenan Yildiz drove home the game’s opening goal after being set up perfectly by Francisco Conceicao.

And the Bianconeri kept knocking on the door. Khephren Thuram went close from the edge of the area just moments later, but Muric reacted well again. Lloyd Kelly looked to get involved before the half-hour mark as well, but headed off target.

Conceicao had an impressive opening half, and that continued when he found Pierre Kalulu for another chance, but the defender wasn’t able to put his attempt on Muric’s goal.

The visitors started the second half well though, and Andrea Pinamonti levelled things up just seven minutes after the restart.

Jeremie Boga tried to restore the lead at the other end but found Muric standing in his way, and the Neroverdi shot-stopper then denied Conceicao as the game neared its final 15 minutes.

With under five minutes of the 90 left to play, VAR intervened to highlight a handball and the Bianconeri were awarded a penalty. Locatelli stepped up, but Muric again frustrated the hosts with another save, and not for the last time.

In the 90th minute, the visiting ‘keeper was again at his reactive best to deny Arek Milik from close range, seeing the points shared in Turin.
