On Saturday, 28 March, a large-scale and important emergency drill took place at the Allianz Stadium, to strengthen and improve the processes for managing critical situations during sporting events.
The exercise involved a significant organisational effort, with 250 participants acting as injured and uninjured spectators, 150 stewards positioned in key areas of the simulation, and 100 healthcare professionals, including first responders, doctors, and nurses.
The focus was on managing an incident caused by an uncontrolled crowd movement in the away section, during the celebration of a goal. The main objective of the trial was to evaluate safety protocols and the effectiveness of the emergency response within the stadium, with the goal of continuously improving emergency management standards.
Representatives from the GOS (Gruppo Operativo Sicurezza - Security Operational Group) took an active part in the event. That includes members of the police, Juventus’ Facilities Management Director, Juventus’ Event Management Delegate, the fire department, the municipal police, and the Anpas Health Coordinator.
This hands-on training day successfully demonstrated the coordination and cooperation between all the organisations involved in planning and managing the event.
